The Twin Cities offer many beautiful venues for indoor weddings, and here are some of the best choices.

Looking for an indoor ceremony or reception site for your Twin Cities wedding? Here are some of the most memorable and elegant places to get married in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Landmark Center. (75 West 5th Street, St. Paul). Located in the center of downtown St. Paul, this majestic hall was built in 1902 and has been renovated extensively. Large weddings can be held in the Musser Cortile, the four-story first floor atrium, and can accommodate up to 400 guests for the ceremony and reception. Rental fees are $2000 for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evening weddings. Smaller weddings can be held in a variety of elegant courtrooms throughout the building for about $400. Marjorie McNeeley Conservatory. (1225 Estabrook Drive, St. Paul). A tropical wedding in Minnesota-- who knew? The Conservatory is a grand glass structure filled with exotic flowers and plants of all kinds. The facility is located in Como Park and adjacent to Lake Como and the Como Zoo, which gives couples many photography options. Most weddings are held in the Sunken Gardens, which can accomodate 80-90 people for the ceremony, and there are some smaller areas that can hold 30-50 guests. Appetizer and cocktail receptions can be held at the Conservatory, and larger receptions can be held at the nearby visitor's center. Rental fees vary. For more information, call 651-487-8250.

Minnesota History Center. (345 West Kellogg Boulevard, St. Paul). Located in downtown St. Paul, the History Center is one of the most spectacular buildings in the city. Most weddings are held in the three story Capital Concourse, where a huge window overlooks the State Capitol and serves as a backdrop for ceremonies. The Concourse can accomodate up to 250 guests. There are a number of elegant rooms in the museum for receptions, which can accomodate about 400 guests. Rental fees are typically $2000. For more information, call 651-259-3030.

Blaisdell Manor. (2322 Blaisdell Avenue South, Minneapolis). Located in a residential neighborhood just south of downtown, this elegant Georgian mansion has been hosting weddings since the 1930s and can accommodate up to 400 guests for ceremonies and receptions. Weddings often begin with the bride descending the grand master staircase. The mansion will also host small outdoor weddings with no more than about 50 guests. Mill City Museum. (704 South 2nd Street, Minneapolis). Located in downtown Minneapolis on the Mississippi River, this new museum is built in the oldest section of Minneapolis on the site of the historic Pillsbury A mill, a fixture of the city's milling history. The museum offers views of the historic Stone Arch Bridge and the river. Indoor weddings and receptions are held in the grand entrance hall, and outdoor weddings and receptions are held in the museum's courtyard. The facility can accommodate about 220 guests. The Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum. Located on the University of Minnesota campus, this stainless steel art museum on the Mississippi River is a Minneapolis architectural landmark. The museum offers some of the best views in town of the Mississippi River, the downtown Minneapolis skyline, and the university campus. The facility can host weddings of up to about 400 guests and receptions of up to about 200 guests. Rental fees are around $3400. For more information, call (612) 625-9683.
