The Mall of America receives daily visitors from all over the world. Teens, tweens and tots will especially enjoy Nickelodeon Universe, the mall's indoor amusement park.

Recognized as one of the world's largest malls, the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota houses over 500 stores, an underground aquarium, wedding chapel, miniature golf course and movie theater. One of the most popular attractions in the mall is that of Nickelodeon Universe, the indoor amusement park.

Named for its theme, (that is the infamous Nickelodeon television network), Nickelodeon Universe offers fun for the entire family.

Nickelodeon Universe and Rides for Teenagers

Teen visitors to Nickelodeon Universe will find lots of things to do in the park. Some of the most popular attractions for teens include:

  • The Avitar Airbender—a really unique ride, it can be described as a cross between a roller coaster and a spinning ride like the Tea Cup.
  • SpongeBob Square Pants Rock Bottom Plunge—a "drop style" roller coaster.
  • Danny Phantom Ghost Zone—similar to the Falling Star ride popular at many outdoor amusement parks.
  • Tak Attack—this ride is similar to the Roll-o-Plane or Bullet ride.

Nickelodeon Universe and Rides for Tweens

Popular rides and activities for the tweens (a youth that is not quite a teen but is over the age of 7) include:

  • The Log Chute Water Ride—a standard log flume ride.
  • The Fairly Odd Coaster—a somewhat mild, but exciting roller coaster.
  • Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Collider—a tumbling style ride.
  • Naked Brother's Crazy Cars—Nickelodeon's version of bumper cars.

Nickelodeon Universe and Rides for Toddlers/Tikes

The park also offers a variety of rides suitable for the little ones. These include:

  • The Back at the Barnyard Hayride—a roller coaster for tikes.
  • Diego's Rescue Rider—kids take a ride in Diego's bus.
  • Dora's Circulo del Cielo—a massive ferris wheel.
  • Nick O Round—a merry go round.

Tikes can also meet and take photos with some of their favorite Nickelodeon characters such as SpongeBob, Dora, Linny, Ming Ming and the Backyardigans.

Visitors to the Nickelodeon park can also enjoy many of the standard amusement park treats such as funnel cakes, ice cream, nachos and pretzels. Additionally, the mall's Food Court is just a stones throw away. There are also fun games as well as a Nickelodeon Store.

Admission Fees at Nickelodeon Universe, Mall of America

If looking to spend the entire day in the park one can opt to purchase an unlimited ride wristband. The cost is $29.95 per wristband. Nonetheless, many families opt to wait until after 5 p.m. when they can purchase a wristband for under $20 and ride all evening. Individual points (similar to the concept of tickets) can be purchased if looking to enjoy just a few rides. Most rides require from 3-6 points (or $3 - $6) for admission.
