Downtown Minneapolis Hotels

Visit downtown Minneapolis and you'll find lots to do, from cultural attractions like museums and theater to the Christmas Holidazzle parade and Nutcracker Suite performances. • The Depot. 225 Third Avenue South, near the Metrodome. 612-375-1700. Price range: about $129-$339 a night, with extended stay available. The Depot is a recently renovated train station and a landmark, and it contains a water park and skate rink. Ask about the Mill City Museum and water park packages.
• Millennium Hotel Minneapolis. 1313 Nicolett Mall, Minneapolis, near Orchestra Hall. Price range: about $125-$275 per night. Ask about the Weekends Away and the 100 for 100 packages.

LUXURY

• Graves 601 Hotel. 601 First Avenue North, near Target Center. 612-677-1100. Price range: about $229 to $999 per night, with packages that run as much as $5000 a night. This hip hotel offers rooms with 42-inch plasma TVs, etched glass headboards on the beds, and Egyptian cotton sheets.
• Grand Hotel. 615 Second Avenue South, near Target Center 866-THE-GRAND. Price range: about $199-$479 a night, with suites that run up to $3500 a night. The Grand is all about Old World charm. Guests have access to the exclusive Minneapolis Life Time Athletic Club.
• The Marquette Hotel. 710 Marquette Avenue, adjacent to the IDS Tower. (612) 333-4545. Price range: about $229 to $359 a night. The Marquette, which underwent a 13.5 million dollar renovation in 2004, has spectacular views of the city .
